When I was younger I used to fish at night. I would drive to the river early in the morning and park my car in a spot that was away from the shoreline. Then I would get out of the car and walk down to the river. I would use a flashlight to see where I was walking. I would then walk down the shoreline until I found a spot that I thought was deep enough to hold a bass. Then I would walk back to my car and wait for the sun to come up. I would then head back to the river and start fishing. I would usually get a few bass this way.
If you want to catch a lot of bass, then you need to use a variety of different methods. If you just go out and cast your line into the water, then you probably will not catch many fish. Try to think of some things that you can do to attract bass. One of the best ways to attract bass is to bait your hook with a worm. I have seen many people use worms when they are fishing at night. They seem to work pretty well. You can also try using a crankbait. Crankbaits are made to look like a minnow or a crawfish. You can use a crankbait in the daytime as well. You can also use a spinnerbait. Spinnerbaits are made to look similar to a minnow. They have a hook on the end of the line that looks like a minnow. When you throw a spinnerbait in the water, it will swim around and make the line spin. You will need to keep the spinnerbait moving. This will help to attract bass.
You can also try using a live bait such as a nightcrawler. A nightcrawler is a type of bait that is used by night fishermen. They are about two inches long and have a dark color. They are very easy to catch and they taste good. You can also use a plastic worm. A plastic worm is a worm that has been dyed red. You can use a plastic worm in the daytime as well. Just remember that a plastic worm will not swim around like a live bait does. You will need to pull the line in and let the plastic worm sink to the bottom. You will need to watch the bottom of the river so that you can see where the plastic worm is going to settle.
